What we include
The UKRR is aimed at libraries holding low use print journals whose content is primarily of interest to researchers. Subject to a small amount of excluded material, we will accept submissions of all serials at risk of disposal. However there are a number of formats which are outside the scope of the UKRR collection and will not be accepted, including:
- Abstracts
- Directories
- Indexes
- Leisure Journals
- Newspapers (due to their specialist preservation needs)
Material submitted to UKRR must be in a robust and stable condition, and suitable for continued use. For further details about the suitability of materials, please consult the UKRR handbook which can be downloaded here.
You are welcome to submit Grey Literature and other items which do not have an ISSN, however their acceptance is at the discretion of UKRR due to the time consuming nature of matching such items to existing holdings. If you have materials such as this which you would like to include in you submission, please contact the UKRR Manager in the first instance.
Members who have print journals of research level interest which they would like to offer for disposal should contact us to discuss how the UKRR can assist.
